Pharmaceutical melt extrusion has matured into a versatile drug delivery technology. It exhibits a broad spectrum of applicability, including enhanced bioavailability of poorly soluble compounds, the creation of abuse-deterrent dosage forms, and controlled-release formulations with tailored release profiles. Manufacturing can be scaled up to give a robust, solvent-free, and cost-competitive commercial process.

SOLIQS, the world leader in pharmaceutical melt extrusion technology, is pleased to host this international symposium focused exclusively on pharmaceutical melt extrusion.

This is the second symposium sponsored by SOLIQS, the first being last year's nanotechnology symposium, Nano Meets Bio.

This symposium will include academic, clinical, and industry speakers covering key aspects of melt extrusion from early feasibility through clinical trials to the market. Symposium attendees will also be guided on a tour of the commercial Kaletra^® Meltrex^® production facilities to experience, firsthand, how melt extrusion has transformed two insoluble compounds into a singular commercial success.

During the symposium, the Grand Opening of the new SOLIQS development facilities will be celebrated. Dignitaries and representatives from politics, academia, industry, and the media are expected.
